Information you provide

When you request a consultation or shoot, we collect the information you enter: your name, business or company, email address, phone number, project type and location, preferred or alternate dates and times, service preferences, requested deliverables, budget range, and project descriptions or questions. Shoot requests may include site-access details and special instructions. Optional fields can be left blank.

We also keep the booking details needed to manage your request, such as appointment times, status, related project records, and correspondence. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, or unrelated sensitive information in our forms.

How we use information

We use your information to respond to inquiries, prepare recommendations and quotes, coordinate locations and services, manage appointments and scheduling conflicts, provide requested media services, and maintain business records. We may also use technical information to investigate errors, prevent abuse, and protect the service.

Google Calendar connection

Makani Media Booking is being configured to connect to Makani Media’s business Google Calendar with the account owner’s authorization. Once enabled, it reads busy-time intervals to prevent scheduling conflicts and creates calendar events for consultations and confirmed shoots. Events may contain the client’s name, email, phone number, project description, meeting type, appointment times, and an internal booking identifier. Booking records may retain the associated Google event identifier; imported calendar blocks may contain an event title and start and end times.

This connection is for the business calendar. Website visitors are not asked to connect their personal Google calendars. Public availability shows time-slot availability, not private event descriptions or client contact details.

Google data is used only to provide the scheduling features described here. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models. Human access and transfers are limited to what Google’s policies permit, including explicitly authorized support, security investigations, or legal obligations.

Makani Media Booking complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Workspace user data policy, including their Limited Use restrictions, when handling information obtained through Google APIs.

Service providers and sharing

GitHub Pages hosts the public website, and Cloudflare provides domain services and the booking backend and database. These providers may process technical request information such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, and timestamps to operate and secure their services. Booking information processed by our backend is stored in Cloudflare’s database. When the calendar connection is enabled, Google processes the calendar information described above.

We do not sell information submitted through this website. We share information as needed to operate the services described in this policy, at your direction, or when required by law or necessary to protect rights and security. Providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

Cookies and payments

The website does not currently include advertising trackers or an analytics tracking script. Our hosting and service providers may process technical data for their own operational and security purposes. Your browser settings let you manage cookies.

The current consultation and shoot-request forms do not collect card details or process payments. If payment features are introduced, we will update the relevant notices to describe how payment information is handled.

Storage, retention, and security

We use HTTPS for website connections and restrict backend access through service permissions and protected credentials. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

We retain inquiry, project, and booking records as needed to respond to you, deliver services, manage ongoing business relationships, and meet applicable recordkeeping or legal obligations. Retention depends on the purpose of the record; the booking system does not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule. You can request deletion using the contact details below. Records that must be retained for legal obligations or disputes may be kept, and provider backups may take additional time to expire.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your inquiry, booking, or related calendar information. We may ask for enough information to verify the request and locate your records. Please do not send identity documents unless we specifically arrange a necessary, appropriate verification method with you.

The owner of a connected Google account can revoke Makani Media Booking’s access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorized access but does not automatically delete existing bookings or calendar events. Contact us to request removal of retained records; the calendar owner can also remove events directly in Google Calendar.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date. Material changes affecting new data uses will be explained before those uses begin.
